Does God have an individualized will for every single person? Does He care about every decision we make? Can God’s will be changed or thwarted? How does God’s sovereignty and His control over all things intersect with our free will? If there is an individual plan for my life, how can I find it? Does God’s will encompass all things, including evil, suffering, and sin? In this series we take on one of the most often-asked questions, how do I discover God’s will for my life? We begin by examining God’s sovereign will, and how our free will plays into God’s overall plan for His creation? We also consider the aspects of God’s moral will, the clear will of God for His people expressed in scripture. We then dive into a discussion of the traditional view that God has an individual will for each person’s life, as well as a critique of the traditional view that examines a God who interacts with His creation differently than we might expect.
